if you have a solid and a liquid at room temperature, which has stronger interatomic forces?

a solid and a liquid at a room temperature, the solid has the stronger inter-atomic solid, the particles in it  are rigid and can only oscillate about their mean position but cannot translate, this is why solid substances are rid, inflexible, and non-compressible and a definite shape and volume. hence solid is said to have a crystal lattice.
on the other hand, the particle in liquid can translate from one point to another, hence liquid is not rigid,  but flexible, with no definite shape. this is because the inter-molecular force in liquid is not strong enough to constraint the liquid molecule to remain at definite position.
