state what particles do the
strong and weak nuclear forces act on
the strong force is the force between the quarks in ether a
proton or neutron. the force is mediated by a quantum of interaction called
gluon, the force is force remain as far
as the exchange of this gluon continue between the quarks.
therefore quarks are
the particles on which strong force act upon. the nucleons are held by a force
called the inter-nucleon force( which is a residual strong force).
no nuclear particles is held under weak nuclear force, this
force is only available where there is an interaction outside nuclear distance
when the strong force is weak, example beta decay.
