A lens produces a real image of a real object. Is the image inverted or upright?

to say if an image formed by a lens is erect or inverted depend on the type of lens involved, if the lens is diverging  no matter the position of the object the image is always erect, but for a converging lens , it may be erect or inverted depending on the position of the of the object. If the object is between  the lens and the focal length of the , the image formed will be erect or upright. If the image is at the focal point , the image will not appear or in other word there would be no image , if the object is between the focal point and twice the focal length the image formed will be inverted. If the object is at a point twice the focal length the image is inverted, therefore if the image is within  the focal length the image is erect but if the object is beyond the focal length the image is always inverted.
