Is electron emitted by nucleus when neutron is changed to proton during radioactive decay?

Is electron emitted by nucleus when neutron is changed to proton during radioactive decay?
It is called electron emission or beta minus decay and can occur as follows, a neutron change to proton while electrons and electron antineutrino is produced. This result to increase n atomic number and atom rises by one position in the periodic table.
In positron emission or beta plus decay, a proton changed to neutron, a positrons and an electron neutrinos are produced, the atomic number dropped by one while the atomic mass do not changed
this called beta decay, it is of two types either electron emission or positron decay. The first involve transformation of neutron to proton while the later involves the transformation of proton to neutron. Both involve the transmutation of nuclei and new atom is formed in both process.
