Refraction of light

Refraction of light can be defined as the bending to or away of light from the normal when it move from one medium to another, , when light moves from one medium to another, it changes its direction, when the new medium is denser than the former medium the refracted light moved toward the normal but the new medium is lighter than the former medium the refracted light bends away from the medium.
For example light ray moving from air to glass will bend toward to normal, but light ray emanating from water into air which is a lighter medium will bend away from the normal.
On a plane surface of any medium, there are three types of ray, the incident, the refracted and the reflected,

Refraction occur because wen light changes medium its speed also changes this cause it change direction,
