examples of ionizing radiation

Alpha and beta rays

An alpha particle is the most ionizing radiation, it has  2 positive charges that makes it to react with electrons when it penetrate an object, this is why it clocks out electrons from body tissues and object that come into direct contact with it, like wise beta particle is negative charge with a magnitude of 1, -1, it react with positive charge that come into contact with it
but alpha particle is more ionizing than beta because the magnitude of it charge is 2 while that of beta is one and likewise gamma is non-ionizing because it has no electrical charge.
