Why do opaque materials become warmer when light shines on them?

Opaque materials become warmer when ray of light shine on them because they absorb all light amount  light falling o them. They absorb all colors or spectrum of whites light but transmit none. Transparent object ideally transmit all light spectrum, translucent transmit some , but opaque absorb all. This why they tend to be warmer when expose to white light.
