why do nuclear reactions produce more energy per mass of matter than chemical reactions

why do nuclear reactions produce more energy per mass of matter
than chemical reactions
because nuclear energy result from destruction of mass of atoms as given by Einstein mass energy relation E= mc2. where E is the energy , m is the mass destroyed and  c2 is the speed of light. whereas energy from chemical reaction (conventional bomb) does not involve atom destruction and hence no Einstein energy. nuclear blast consist of blast, heat and destructive radioactive radiation where as non-nuclear blast has only the explosive blast.
