do leptons contain quarks

leptons do not  have quarks as component particles , leptons are themselves a family of particles , they are family of particles with no quark, leptons have special characteristics that differentiate them from quarks, they do not take part in strong interactions. electrons , muons and neutrinos are examples of leptons. leptons like quarks are of six types, they are electrons, electron neutrinos, muon, muon neutrinos, tau and tau neutrinos.
leptons are also grouped into generations ( 1st , 2nd and 3rd ) with electrons and electron neutrinos forming the 1st generations  2nd the muonic generation comprising of muon and muon neutrino and lastly the tau and tau neutrinos
