reflection
of light is the bouncing back of ray of light when it hit an object. The
intensity of light reflected depends on the colors of the object. Whites objet
reflects all colors of lights, while lack object absorbs all colors light.
Therefore ideally when light rays fall
on an whit object the intensity of the reflected beam is large whereas when
same light fall on a black object the intensity is lower. The direction of the
reflected beam depends on the angle of incident rays. According to the 2nd
law of reflection the incident angle against the normal is equal to the angle
of reflection, the reflected beam behave differently depending on the degree of
roughness of the reflecting surface. Smooth surface will produce specular
reflection while a rough surface will produce a diffused reflection.
