describes the type of image formed by a plane mirror

image formed by plane mirror is virtual, laterally inverted and same size as object.  An image is said to be virtual if the ray of light from the object did not actually converge , an image is said to be if it is to the object left to left and right to right.
therefore an image formed by a plane mirror has equal distance as the object, is virtual, unmagnified, not inverted  and left and right is reversed.
