DIFFERENTIATING FUSION AND FISSION

The two types of nuclear reaction are the fusion and the fission,
Fission involves the splitting of heavy nuclides into a two unequal atoms plus neutrons and other particles, the energy released is less than fusion, it can be harnessed for generation of electricity, it does not  occur naturally, most of its products are radioactive, high speed neutrons are required, uranium is the primary fuel.
fusion involves the combining of light nuclides into a heavy one , it occurs naturally as in the sun and stellar nucleo-synthesis. most products are stable. , it need high density, temperature and pressure, need fission energy to start, never harnessed for peaceful use, fuel are only hydrogen isotopes.
fission nuclear reaction involves the weakening of the atomic nuclides, causing the overcome coulomb force to wake up as explained by the liquid drop model. where as in fusion reaction it involve the overcoming  the electrical repulsion between the nucleus of the participating  atoms.
very high temperature of about 100 million kelvin and intense pressure are needed to strap the atom into plasma state and intense pressure capable of overcoming the coulumb’s repulsion and to  squeeze the atoms into nuclear distance where the strong nuclear force can take effect. in order word the coulomb barrier must be overcome before fusion can take place.
