Explain How The Addition Or Removal Of Energy Can Cause A Phase Change

heat is a form of energy, the addition or removal of heat inform of latent heat of vaporization or fusion can change a substance from one state /phase to another.
water can exist in three state of matter or phases, solid as ice, liquid water and gaseous as steam.
when latent heat of fusion is added to an ice, it turns to water at 0°c, when latent heat of vaporization is added to liquid water it changes to steam( gaseous state) at 100°c .
But if we remove latent heat of vaporization from a steam it turns t a liquid water at 100°c, and if we remove latent heat of fusion from liquid water it turns to ice ( solid state)
therefore the addition and removal of energy has change the physical state of a substance.
