The quantity
that is variable in an ideal gas law PV=nrt
but assumed to be constant in boyles law, Charles law and pressure law
is the number of moles, n.
In all the gas law , pressure of the gas,
volume and temperature are all varies. But
the statement “ the fixed mass of a gas” made in three law ( boyles, Charles and pressure law) , the term fixed mass refer
to the number of moles, as we can relate the mass of a gas to the number of
mole , n, as follows. N= mass of gas
/molar mass or number of mole = (mass of
gas )/( atomic mass of the gas).
